Miami Today's March 2010 Roundtable focused on "Our Public Schools: The Challenges and Funding Solutions."
Sponsored by Miami Parking Authority, this important discussion about the financial situation of Miami's local school system took place at The Gusman Center for the Performing Arts. Panelists were Maria Alonso, Bank of America and incoming chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce; Alberto Carvalho, Miami-Dade Public School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho; Linda Lecht, president of The Education Fund; Dr. Eduardo Padron, president of Miami Dade College; and Doug Tuthill, president of Step Up for Students. Michael Lewis, publisher of Miami Today moderated.
