Yupi.com, a Miami-based web portal in Spanish and English, has formed a partnership with several career sites to form Yupi Empleos (the Spanish word for employment) — a job search product, promoters said. Yupi's job site partners include HireDiversity.com, IHispano.com, InfoJobs.net, Laborum.com, LatPro.com, MasTrabajo.com and tecEmpleos.com, executives said.

PNV PEOPLE: Coral Springs-based PNV, a communications and information provider to the trucking and logistics industry, has opened a new sales and distribution channel by partnering with PeopLease — a personnel management enterprise targeting the transportation industry. Through the partnership PeopLease executives say they will offer PNV services to clients. Details: PNV.com or peopleasecorp.com.

MORE PNV: The Kenworth Truck Co. now offers PNV connection ports on the exterior of most of its new sleeper truck models. The connections, promoters said, help to eliminate the need to route special cable TV and telephone cords through truck windows or doors.

AROUND THE GLOBE: Miami-based Globecast, a provider of end-to-end transmission and production services for the broadcasting industry, has added Russian-language superchannel TVR Network Inc. to its digital platform for foreign broadcasters, executives said. The new channel delivers live, delayed and archive TV programs. Details: (305) 887-1600.

ARAB TV:
Globecast has also added Arabic-language broadcaster ANA Television Network Inc. to its digital platform. The network promotes the cultural and linguistic heritage of Arabs living worldwide, promoters say.

SCHOOL VOTE: AT&T Broadband has teamed up with CNN Turner Learning and Philips Consumer Electronics North America to offer students enrolled at Hialeah Senior High School with a CNN "Your Choice Your Vote" campaign. The campaign is a six-part Internet-based educational program designed to help teach students about the electoral process in the US, promoters said. Details: www.broadband.att.com.

E-TRAVEL TALK: Xcelerate Corp., an e-business solutions company, and Mercer Management Consulting will host the first Travel Industry eBusiness Forum from 9-11:30 a.m. on Nov. 6 in the Don Shula Hotel & Golf Club, 6842 Main St., Miami Lakes. The program will feature discussions on e-business strategies and solutions in the travel industry, organizers said. Details: (954) 713-8022.
