   The Miami and South Florida History class at Miami Dade College taught by historian and faculty member Paul George begins. NURSING RESEARCH
   Internationally renowned nurse scientists, scholars and nursing professionals meet for the first time in the US for the XIII Pan American Nursing Research Colloquium, a biennial global gathering of nurse leaders, researchers and students. The theme is "global nursing research challenges for the millennium." The event includes global nursing leaders convening to tackle nursing research challenges of the 21st century and to strengthen evidence-based nursing practice around the globe, as well as to disseminate emerging advances in research related to clinical practice, health systems, health services and educational strategies.
