KEEPING A-BREAST
   New Theatre begins its season with "Keeping A-Breast," an evening tribute to the wonder, the beauty and the importance of the breast. Featuring writers such as Catherine Bush of "Just a Kiss," 2007 Steinberg Award finalist and David Caudle, "The Sunken Living Room," winner of the Southern New Plays Festival. A portion of proceeds from performances goes to support breast cancer awareness programming in Miami-Dade. 8 p.m. Thurs.-Sat. 1 p.m. Sundays. 5:30 p.m. Sept. 9 and 16. Performance through Sept. 16. RUINED
   GableStage presents 2009 Pulitzer-Prize winning play "Ruined" written by Lynn Nottage and directed by Joseph Adler. This play is a haunting work about the resilience of the human spirit. This frank and funny drama is a variation of Bertolt Brecht's 1939 play "Mother Courage and Her Children," translated to a brothel in the Congo, where women are both victims and pillars of strength. 8 p.m. Additional performances through Oct. 7.
