   The two-day Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival features family activities, including a grand pumpkin patch with an additional 2,000 pumpkins. LAW IN COMICS
   Images of law in comic books will be the focus of a lecture in coinciding with an exhibit of comic book art in the University of Miami Law Library. A reception will follow. Washington, DC, attorney Mark S. Zaid, an expert in national security law and freedom of information issues, is a dealer and collector of comic books. He is an advisor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price & Grading Guides and co-founder of the Comic Book Collecting Association. WOMEN'S RISE
   Celebrating October's Hispanic Heritage Month, MOCA's "Women on the Rise!" presents a three-part lecture series titled "Latina Women and the Body." The series examines issues of Latina women and body image and explores how representations of Latina women and girls in visual culture shape notions about their sexuality. This week Dionne Stephens, assistant professors at FIU gives lecture "Ni Pardo, Ni Prieto: Presentations of Skin Color Influencing Hispanic Women's Self Identity."
