Zoo development's scope: you pick it

    After 14 years, multi-million-dollar plans for entertainment and lodging at ZooMiami appear headed to fruition, officials said.
   Seven firms have expressed interest in developing 287 acres at the zoo and near the adjacent Gold Coast Railroad Museum Park. The developers met and presented ideas to Miami-Dade staff, said Kevin Asher, Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department special projects supervisor.
   "I am more optimistic now than I have ever been," Mr. Asher said. "I am more confident now that the county will get a well thought out plan from a well-funded proposer or proposers."
