Mega-casinos, Herald site appeal pending

Local historic preservationists are weighing whether to appeal a decision by Miami city officials to reject their proposal to have the Miami Herald building designated as a historic structure.
The decision favored Malaysian conglomerate Genting, which has been seeking to develop a giant casino resort on the site.
