Commission Chair Rebeca Sosa targets fiscal cliff fallout water and sewer gap, capital improvements, homes inventory
Rebeca Sosa will make history this week when she is sworn in on Friday as the first Hispanic chairwoman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners. She was elected by her peers on Nov. 20, 2012, to serve a two-year term, which commenced Jan. 1.
Since 2001, Commissioner Sosa has served on the county commission. Her district, District 6, includes areas in the City of Miami, Coral Gables, West Miami, Hialeah and Miami Springs.
Commissioner Sosa took a break from her new role to talk to reporter Laura Stace.
