Beach rail engine sidetrack but fired up

    Discussions among Miami Beach city officials about a light passenger rail linking the mainland to the Beach are on hold — for now.
   The issue did not come up for discussion last week at the city commission's Finance & Citywide Projects Committee meeting. Instead, officials plan to host a public meeting on the issue, but stressed there is no formal proposal.
