Sony Open volleys back a lawsuit

    Litigation is mounting in the campaign to build a bigger and better home for the annual Sony Open professional tennis tournament on Key Biscayne.
   The latest lawsuit came when the tournament's organizers, International Players Championship Inc., filed a countersuit that names Bruce Matheson and Miami-Dade County as co-defendants. The Feb. 6 suit claims they don't have the authority to block the proposed expansion of the Crandon Park Tennis Center.
